AUNTIE, a stop motion film
This is a bittersweet exploration of resilience and connection, Auntie, a homesick Filipino domestic
worker in Hong Kong, tries her best to hold a fractured family together while
grappling with her own longing for connection. As overworked parents struggle with guilt and sacrifice, Auntie unveils the beauty of relationships forged amidst tragedy.

This film tells a story that is very close to my heart about the relationship between a child Ying and her
caretaker Auntie who is a Filipino domestic worker in Hong Kong. This film explores paralleled struggles of Auntie and the mum from a sympathetic lens- Auntie left behind her
family in the philippines while Mum left behind Ying at home to work long hours so that each of them can provide for their families.
